Vermeer Equipment of Texas, Inc. was founded in 1978 by Gary N. Wiley as a full service equipment dealer specializing in selling, leasing and servicing equipment manufactured by Vermeer Manufacturing Company of Pella, Iowa. With locations in Irving (near Dallas’ DFW Airport), San Antonio, Houston, Round Rock (north Austin), Alamo (in the Rio Grande Valley), Lubbock, Kilgore, Corpus Christi, Waco, Amarillo, and Denham Springs, Louisiana (a suburb of Baton Rouge) we are able to provide a complete range of parts and service to meet the needs of our customers. By providing on the job training, our customers are able to learn how to operate our equipment on their respective jobs, thus enhancing their profitability.
In 1995 Gary Wiley sold 100% of the stock of Vermeer Texas to a newly established Employee Stock Ownership Plan, rewarding the employees who were so instrumental in helping Gary build the company.
The lines we sell and service in addition to Vermeer include: Gyro-Trac mulching machines, Yanmar Compact Equipment, Belshe Trailers, DCI locators, VacTron vacuum excavation equipment and Hammer Head Mole ramming products, Wildcat trommels, screens, and compost turners. We also offer the complete line of Sherrill Arborist Supplies.
For the past four consecutive years Vermeer Equipment of Texas has been recognized as a Platinum Level Dealer in the Mark of Excellence program for Vermeer Manufacturing Company. The Platinum Level is the highest level recognized by Vermeer and to attain this level a dealership must demonstrate excellence in the following areas: Parts, Service, Sales & Marketing, Financial Management, Operations, Employee Development, and market share of the products they sell.
The products that we offer our customers include directional boring machines, rock trenchers, rubber tired trenchers, brush chippers, stump cutters, tub grinders, horizontal grinders, vibratory plows, and piercing tools, We have been selected as a Dallas 100 Company, as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the Dallas area.
