Vermeer Texas-Louisiana hosted its biannual tree climbing school in Fritz Park in Irving, Texas on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. The spring course focused on basic tree climbing techniques and applications for beginner arborists.

The course, facilitated by a North American Training Solutions (NATS) instructor, provided participants with training and practical use of specialized equipment and techniques employed in technical tree climbing in rope and harness. All attendees practiced safe protocols and procedures for technical work at height.

In addition to the training, participants received information on Sherill Tree products, Vermeer equipment, a swag bag and catered lunch. International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborists received 6.5 continuing education units (CEUs) upon successful completion of the one-day course.

“It was perfect timing for this training as we’ve all recently experienced unexpected spring weather in north Texas. I am sure the attendees will be able to immediately apply what they’ve learned from this session, and I’m hopeful they’ll return in October for our advanced course,” Elric Gray, parts specialist said.

In the fall, on Thursday, October 10, 2019, Vermeer Texas-Louisiana will host an advanced rigging techniques and applications course with a actual tree removal. Learn more and register at VermeerTexas.com/events.
